An opportunity for a commercial litigation lawyer to join a well-regarded mid-tier commercial firm in Sydney.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial disputes, working with experienced senior lawyers on complex litigation across a varied client base.

This opportunity is open to lawyers from a broad commercial litigation background. Previous exposure to insolvency matters would be beneficial but is not essential.

The Opportunity

The team advises on a broad range of commercial disputes, which may include:

• Contractual disputes
• Corporate and shareholder disputes
• Director-related disputes
• Insolvency and restructuring disputes
• Recovery and enforcement proceedings
• Urgent and interlocutory applications
• Court proceedings, mediations and negotiated settlements

You will be involved across the lifecycle of matters, including preparing pleadings and evidence, drafting submissions and correspondence, briefing counsel, managing discovery, liaising with clients and contributing to litigation strategy.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Approximately 3-5 years' PQE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
• Experience working on commercial litigation matters in private practice
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills
• Experience with pleadings, evidence and court processes
• The ability to manage matters and competing deadlines with appropriate supervision
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
